Olena, the artist's mother, said that Mariia was creative from an early age and started painting when she was one and a half years old: "She loved to draw animals. In her drawings, they were always dressed and decorated. That's why I thought that her style would be characterized by folk art, perhaps something similar to the work of Maria Prymachenko, but it wasn't. Masha has quite little experience in the style of fluid art, but she approached it very persistently. Therefore, I think this is the beginning of her career and her exhibitions will be even bigger."
To enter the university, Maria studied drawing for only a month. Her teacher was reluctant to start working with her, but after the first lesson, he saw the girl's potential. Maria's mother, Olena, recalls: "When she was a child, she was very independent, always following through and trying to do everything perfectly."
At the opening of the exhibition, Olena came wearing a sweatshirt with one of Maria's paintings on it.
